Michilimackinac October 2nd 1837
Sir,
I beg leave to inform the Department of the death of Chusko, one of the chiefs, who have heretofore received a life annuity, under the Seventh article of the treaty of the 28th of March 1836. He died on the 30th ultimo. Consequently no appropriation will be required, at the ensuing Session of Congress, for the amount paid to him, being fifty dollars.
