Indian Agency
Michilimackinac
Nov. 21th 1833Sir, The Ottawa chiefs have applied to me for permission to visit Washington. They have this day repeated their application and furnished names of the chiefs who are to compose the delegation. Their object is to bring before the President the subject of their lands in the Peninsula. It is their wish to leave this, for Washington, in the spring.
I have the honor to annex a list of the names, and to request, that you will inform me whether their contemplated journey will be sanctioned.
Very Respectfully
Your Obt. Servant
