Letter from Woolcot, Indian Agent at Chicago to McCoy, 24 Nov. 1825:

"One of your former pupils, a hopeful youth, by name Mr. Sag-ay-nah-nee-bea, alias Bob, was found dead the other day on the prairie near Wilmette's. He had apparently been dead some days. It is supposed that sombody had put too much water in his whiskey and the night being cold is froze within him."
